Things to do before and after procedure

Before the Chemical Peel treatment

Before your chemical peel treatment, it's important to follow these steps:

  1. Avoid using any exfoliating agents or products that contain retinol or alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) for at least three days prior to your treatment. These can make your skin more sensitive and can interfere with the effectiveness of the treatment.

  2. Avoid sun exposure or tanning for at least one week prior to your treatment. This can also make your skin more sensitive and can increase the risk of irritation or adverse reactions.

  3. Remove any makeup or other products from your face before your treatment. This will help the aesthetician cleanse your skin more effectively and ensure that the treatment is as effective as possible.

After the Chemical Peel treatment

  1. Avoid exposing your skin to the sun or other sources of UV light for at least 24 hours after your treatment. This can help prevent irritation and redness and can help the treatment work more effectively.

  2. Avoid using any exfoliating agents or products that contain retinol or alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) for at least three days after your treatment. This will allow your skin time to recover and will help prevent irritation or adverse reactions.

  3. Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours after your treatment. These can dehydrate the skin and can interfere with the treatment's effectiveness.

  4. Follow your aesthetician's instructions for any follow-up care or products to use at home. This will help maintain the results of your treatment and keep your skin looking and feeling its best.
